Webber calls on/off DRS 'bizarre'

Mark Webber said the final part of qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix was "bizarre" with the DRS being switched off mid-way through the session. Paul di Resta had been the first driver to set a time on intermediate tyres in Q3 but with the rain intensifying the DRS was disabled by race control, making it difficult for the later runners to beat the time. Webber, Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton eventually improved having managed an extra lap at the end of the session but Webber said the DRS issue added to the unpredictability during qualifying.
