Lewis Hamilton held the final piece of the qualifying puzzle when it-looked like Force India’s Paul di Resta had produced a masterstroke in see-sawing conditions during the dying stages of Q3. The micro-climate of Spa Francochamps never fails to surprise and with degree changes of around 15 degrees even without rain playing were playing havoc with tyre pressures even before a wheel was turned in anger.
