Boullier would prefer Pirelli as sole 2014 tyre supplier

Lotus team principal Eric Boullier has said that he would prefer Pirelli to remain F1′s sole tyre supplier for 2014. The Frenchman feels that, with such dramatic rule changes being put in place for next year, maintaining some stability would be welcome. Over the Belgian Grand Prix weekend it emerged that Michelin were in talks with the FIA to return to F1. The French manufacturer is open to either joining Pirelli and returning to the days of tyre wars – the last being Bridgestone vs. Michelin in 2006 – or returning as the sports sole supplier. A raft of new technical regulations will debut in 2014 – including the introduction of new 1.6 litre V6 Turbo power plants....
