Red Bull expecting Ricciardo to push Vettel by mid-season

New Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo will be expected to be putting the pressure on team-mate Sebastian Vettel by the middle of the season. Red Bull announced on Monday evening that Ricciardo will race for the team in 2014, alongside reigning world champion Vettel. Red Bull confirms Ricciardo On the Sport und Talk programme, on which Ricciardo was announced, Red Bull consultant Helmut Marko revealed that the team has high expectations of their new signing. 'We had to go for a driver who is capable of securing the necessary points for more constructors' championships,' Marko said on Servus TV.
