David Ward has published his new vision for the FIA in a document titled ‘Agenda for Change'. The full list of proposed revamps, have been made available via the Presidential challenger’s website. ‘Effectiveness’ and ‘accountability’ are cited as the major slogans for the Ward campaign.
In the proposal, Ward believes the FIA president should have the option to serve in a non-executive role – and that a CEO is appointed to work alongside a new management structure he believes would be more abiding to motorsport’s needs in the long term. As such, the hierarchy would consist of the President and two Deputies for Sport and Mobility.
