Sergey Sirotkin has said that he will be testing a 2011 Sauber car this month ahead of a demonstration in Sochi on September 27th.
The Russian driver currently races in Formula Renault 3.5 with one podium finish to his name so far – a second place at the Motorland Aragon circuit. He is a former Formula Abarth European champion and finished third in last year's Auto GP series.
The 18-year-old will make his first public appearance for the Swiss team at the Sochi demo but will test the two-year-old car beforehand in preparation for the event. Sauber will run Sirotkin in 2014, providing that he acquires a superlicense, as part of their deal with a number of Russian partners.
