Esteban Gutierrez and Valtteri Bottas completed differing types of qualifying session for the Italian Grand Prix, but suffered identical fates after failing to make the Q1 cut.Gutierrez bounced in and out of the 'drop zone', but could never quite pull far enough away to avoid being caught beneath the trap door when the chequered flag fell.
