Webber: Vergne did not cost me pole

Mark Webber has denied that Jean-Éric Vergne's off-track excursion at the Parabolica curve during late stages of Saturday's qualifying hour at Monza cost him pole position. The Australian, who qualified second fastest, ended his final lap amid a wall of dust kicked up by the Toro Rosso machine, but he says the resulting time loss would not have been enough to usurp Red Bull team-mate and pole-sitter Sebastian Vettel. "It hasn't been the best track for me, so it's a nice step towards a very, very good result tomorrow," said Webber.
