FIA poised to end tyre debate?

FIA president Jean Todt has hinted that Pirelli will shortly be reconfirmed as F1's sole tyre supplier.The Italian Grand Prix weekend began with Paul Hembery announcing that Pirelli had secured agreements with all eleven teams – having lack one signature at the Belgian round two weeks previously – as well as Bernie Ecclestone's FOM, but, without the FIA's approval, there remained the possibility of a switch to another supplier, with Michelin waiting in the wings.Although Hembery described the potential for change at this point in the season as 'farcical', there were sections of the paddock that believed Todt favoured a move to the French alternative, but the president said that he was...
