Formula E unveils new Spark-Renault car

Formula E has unveiled its new car which will kick off the inaugural season of the all-electric motorsport series next year. FIA president Jean Todt and Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag unveiled the Spark-Renault SRT_01E at the Frankfurt Motor Show on Tuesday. Several manufacturers have been involved in the project, with Dallara designing and building the monocoque and chassis, McLaren Electronic Systems are behind the electric motor, gearbox and electronics, whilst Williams Advanced Engineering will provide the batteries and battery management system which is capable of producing 200kw (roughly equivalent to 270bhp).
