Montoya has been racing in NASCAR since he left Formula One in 2006, but did not have his contract renewed with the Chip Ganassi Racing team for 2014. As a free agent he has signed with Ganassi's major IndyCar rival Roger Penske in what he hopes will be a return to winning ways alongside new team-mates Will Power and Helio Castroneves.
