Leimer, Bird set up Abu Dhabi showdown

GP2 Media Service Fabio Leimer and Sam Bird will head to November's GP2 final event in Abu Dhabi separated by just seven points in the championship. Leimer finished in fifth place in the feature race and followed it up with third place in the sprint race. Bird dropped down the order in the feature race, but battled back to secure eighth place and the reversed grid pole. From there, he controlled proceedings and was never troubled as he collected his fifth win of the season. The results mean that Racing Engineering driver Leimer [179] and Russian Time's Bird [172] will fight for the championship at the Yas Marina Circuit.
