Kimi Raikkonen felt third place was the best he could achieve in Singapore due to the pace of his car and his back problem.
The Finn has admitted that he nearly didn't take part in qualifying on Saturday after a previous back problem flared up again and put him in discomfort throughout the day.
He somehow managed to qualify P13 and then fought back on Sunday to finish third behind race winner Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso.
The Lotus driver admits he couldn't have done much better at the Marina Bay street circuit.
