The race stewards have reprimanded the Lotus team for allowing a team member to work on Romain Grosjean's car without wearing the necessary safety equipment. Under new regulations introduced after an FOM cameraman was struck by a tyre, everyone working in the pits must wear a helmet. However during Grosjean's unscheduled stop for an air consumption issue, a Renault Sport engineer worked on his car for some 30-seconds without head protection.
