Caterham have reshuffled their technical department, promoting Jody Egginton to deputy technical director and broadening John Iley's role as performance director. In a bid to "strengthen" the department in light of the challenges facing all the teams with the 2014 regulation changes, Caterham have opted to make internal changes. Under the leadership of technical director Mark Smith, Egginton, was the team's oeprations director, has been promoted to deputy technical director while Iley's role will now also including management of an Advanced Projects Group.
