‘Hollow' pole position for Webber

Red Bull/Getty Images Mark Webber expressed his satisfaction at securing pole position for the Japanese Grand Prix but added that such an achievement was ‘hollow'. Webber secured his first pole position since last year's Korean Grand Prix after setting two laps fast enough to take top slot. It was also the first time in 2013 that Webber beat team-mate Sebastian Vettel in qualifying. But Webber believes that his achievement was hollow as Vettel suffered from a KERS failure in Q3.
