F1 to honour De Villota with minute's silence

Formula 1 will hold a minute's silence in honour of the late Maria de Villota who passed away on Friday morning in her Spanish hotel room. The Spaniard passed away as a consequence of the neurological injuries sustained when she was involved in a F1 testing incident with Marussia in July 2012. The Grand Prix Drivers' Association, which represents the majority of the grid, confirmed in a statement on Saturday that silence would be held before the drivers' parade and the podium ceremony would be dedicated to her memory.
