Lewis Hamilton “gutted” after first lap incident with Sebastian Vettel

Lewis Hamilton has described his dissatisfaction with his collision with the eventual race winner Sebastian Vettel on the opening lap, which ultimately led to the Briton’s retirement several laps later. As the field negotiated the first corner, Hamilton lightly tapped the German and subsequently picked up a right-rear puncture. Although Lewis Hamilton was able to limp miserably back to the pits after his opening lap skirmish for a fresh set of Pirelli tyres, the 2008 World Champion had sustained considerable damage to the floor of his machine.
