Lotus set to finalise investment from Quantum

The Lotus F1 team looks set to finally complete an investment package it's been working on for several months, which will provide it with much needed funding. The deal, announced in June with Infinity Racing, will see the partners take a 35 per cent stake in the Enstone outfit for an undisclosed figure. The partners have now renamed their company to Quantum Motorsports in a bid to stop confusion between themselves and Infiniti - a Japanese car manufacturer which sponsors Red Bull. The final pieces of the deal are expected to fall into place in the next two weeks before the Lotus and Genii board sign off on the package.
