James Calado won the final GP2 race of the season after making good start in Sunday's Abu Dhabi sprint and holding off Dani Clos for 22 laps. Clos finished a close second ahead of newly-crowned champion Fabio Leimer in third. Sam Bird took fourth and in doing so clinched the teams' championship for Russian Time as main rivals Carlin failed to finish in the points. The race got off to a messy start as Calado made a bold move to take the lead from Jonny Cecotto, who started from pole position but spun at the first corner.
