Button takes blame for collision

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Jenson Button accepted responsibility for a first lap collision that compromised his progress at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Button started from 12th place but damaged his McLaren MP4-28 when he hit the back of Paul di Resta's Force India. It was the second time in the space of a week that the 2009 world champion was involved in an opening lap shunt. 'You make your own luck when you start down in 12th – where first-lap congestion is inevitable – and, sure enough, there was a little bit of argy-bargy into Turn One,' he said.
