Alonso: We haven’t been good enough

Fernando Alonso admits that Ferrari 'were not good enough' in 2013 as the Spaniard starts to turn his focus towards trying to dethrone Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull next year.The Spaniard started the season well with two wins in the first five races but then dropped away from his title rival as Ferrari lost out in the mid-season development race.It means the 32-year-old will have to wait to try and add to the two championship titles he secured during his time with Renault but he said he was optimistic about what can be achieved next year after a tough 2013.“Well it was a strange championship,” he told Sky Sports. “At the beginning of the year we started with a good package that we...
