Fernando Alonso has been given the all-clear by medics after a precautionary visit to hospital after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Spaniard went off track at turn four after emerging from his second stop alongside Jean-Eric Vergne. With nowhere to go, he was forced onto the bumpy run-off area and kerbs. His car was briefly pitched into the air before he re-joined the circuit. He visited the stewards after the race but was not penalised for the incident. A steward's statement read: 'While car #3 did leave the track at Turn 3-4 the stewards believe that he had no choice, as car #18 closed on him.'
