Perez confirms McLaren departure

McLaren driver Sergio Perez has confirmed he is to leave the team at the end of this season. Perez, who only joined McLaren this year, informed his fans of the news via an open letter on his Twitter account.  The final two races of the season - in the United States this Sunday and Brazil seven days later - will be his last for the team. Perez is set to be replaced by current McLaren development driver Kevin Magnussen from next season. The team have not yet announced their decision to promote the Danish novice - although sources have told BBC Sport it will happen.
