Kevin Magnussen will make his F1 debut with McLaren next year Associated Press Enlarge McLaren has finally confirmed Kevin Magnussen as Sergio Perez's replacement for 2014, giving the 21-year-old Formula Renault 3.5 champion his Formula One debut next year. After over a month of speculation, Perez confirmed he had been booted out of McLaren on Wednesday night as he pre-empted McLaren's announcement on Thursday. Magnussen is a member of the young driver programme at McLaren and has spent time in its simulator this year as well as taking part in young driver tests.
