Pérez open to racing outside Formula 1
Sergio Pérez says he would be open to racing outside Formula 1 if he cannot secure a competitive seat for the 2014 season, but remains hopeful of remaining in the sport. The Mexican, who will be replaced by Kevin Magnussen after just one campaign at McLaren, now has a fight on his hands to join another of the sport's protagonists, with Lotus the only squad inside the current top four yet to confirm its full driver line-up.
