Hulkenberg: Lotus offer for last two races too risky

Nico Hulkenberg has explained that he turned down Lotus' offer to replace Kimi Raikkonen for the final two Grand Prix of year as the deal was too much of a risk at this late stage of the season. Hulkenberg, who has long been linked with a full-time move to Lotus in 2014 to replace the Ferrari bound Kimi Raikkonen, was offered the opportunity of substituting for the Finn at the United States and Brazilian Grand Prix's, going as far as to meet Eric Boullier, Lotus' Team Principal at the team's Enstone factory, before ultimately declining the move.
