Ramírez critical of Pérez's approach

Former McLaren Co-ordinator Jo Ramírez says it is "sad" for Mexican motorsport that Sergio Pérez will depart the Woking-based outfit after just one season onboard, but reckons that he largely has himself to blame for possessing an "arrogant" approach. Ramírez, who was involved at the McLaren team from 1983 to 2001, made his stern comments in a column for Mexico's Cancha newspaper, arguing that although Pérez's driving skills have developed, he has not yet made the sufficient personal gains. "McLaren needed a better driver than Jenson Button, they didn't need an equal, but Checo wasn't up to the challenge, except on a few occasions," explained Ramírez....
