Kimi has successful operation
Kimi Raikkonen has had a successful operation on his back in France Lotus have confirmed.The Finn has been forced to miss the final two grands prix of the season due to a long-running back problem at he underwent surgery at The University Hospital of Strasbourg on Thursday.
"Lotus F1 Team is happy to report that the operation was totally successful, according to Professor Afshin Gangi," a statement read.
The 2007 World Champion will now rest for the next few days and could start his recovery programme as early as next week.
Raikkonen will leave Lotus at the end of the season and join Ferrari in 2014.
