Jean-Eric Vergne was relegated to last of the runners on the lead lap of the 2013 United States Grand Prix after stewards deemed that he was at fault for a last lap clash with Esteban Gutierrez.While initial views suggested that the Mexican had run hot into the back of the Toro Rosso, before being spat over the top of it and onto the grass, the officials saw things differently, and thought Vergne more at fault. The Frenchman said in Toro Rosso's post-race brief that he had used all his KERS in trying to catch team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, leaving himself vulnerable to attack from Gutierrez's Sauber, but blamed the rookie - who had already been docked ten places for blocking in qualifying...
