Heikki Kovalainen’s return plagued with issues at Austin
Heikki Kovalainen’s return to Formula 1 was plagued with numerous issues during the 56-lap United States Grand Prix, which ultimately saw the Finn plummet from a strong 8th on the grid to 14th after being struck with a combination of KERS and downforce issues throughout the race.
After being elected to replace fellow countryman Kimi Raikkonen for the final two races of the season at the United States and Brazil, Heikki Kovalainen was optimistic ahead of his return to a full-time drive.
