Title-winning car 'vital' for Ferrari

Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali believes it is 'vital' for the Maranello team to have a title-winning car in 2014, irrespective of the impact it would have on the future of Fernando Alonso. The two-time world champion once again finished second behind Sebastian Vettel in the Drivers' Championship this year despite having arguably the fourth fastest car on the grid. The Spaniard has been linked with a move away from Ferrari for some time, with McLaren rumoured to be favourite to lure back its former driver when his contract expires in 2015.
