Hamilton admits he should have let Bottas past

Lewis Hamilton has spoken about his crash with Valtteri Bottas during the 71-lap Brazilian Grand Prix. The two made contact in the braking zone for turn four at the Interlagos circuit. Bottas was forced to retire after the accident and Hamilton picked up a puncture. He was later handed a drive-through penalty for causing an avoidable incident. The 28-year-old admitted that, with hindsight, he should have let Bottas through as he was faster at the time. 'I thought that I had moved to the left, he outbraked me and then we touched but it happened so quickly and it was obviously judged [by the stewards] that I did something wrong,' he said after finishing ninth in the race.
