Mercedes evaluating Jazeman Jaafar
– Mercedes is carrying out a driver evaluation test with Malaysia's Jazeman Jaafar at Silverstone on Friday. The 21-year-old, who is a member of the outfit's driver talent programme led by title sponsor Petronas, contested the British Formula 3 [two victories] and Formula Renault 3.5 campaigns [one podium] this season, and took a top six finish at the prestigious Macau Grand Prix. As permitted under the current testing regulations, Jaafar will get behind the wheel of a 2011-spec W02 chassis.
