Bahrain confirms night race for 2014
The Bahrain Grand Prix will be held under floodlights next season to mark the tenth anniversary of F1's first visit to the Sakhir circuit, it has been confirmed.A floodlight system has recently been installed at the Bahrain International Circuit and will be tested during this weekend's final round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship.“This is by far the biggest development project we have ever undertaken at the BIC since the circuit was first built,” BIC chief executive Salman bin Isa al-Khalifa said in a statement on Friday, according to Reuters.“I believe that there can be no better way for us to mark our tenth anniversary in F1 by demonstrating our long term commitment to...
