Night grand prix for Bahrain

Next year's Bahrain Grand Prix will take place under lights as the circuit looks to secure its F1 future. Up until now the Bahrain International Circuit has held only day events with the grand prix taking place at 3pm local time. However, next season the race will be run under lights joining Singapore as one of only two night grands prix. "This is by far the biggest development project we have ever undertaken at the BIC since the circuit was first built," chief executive Salman bin Isa al-Khalifa told Reuters.
