Jaafar reaffirms F1 dream with Mercedes test
World Series by Renault midfielder Jazeman Jaafar got his proper taste of F1 power after joining Mercedes for a driver evaluation test at Silverstone.A member of the Petronas Talent Development Programme, the Malaysian was handed the opportunity to run the W04 on a full circuit thanks to the sponsor's extensive links with the Mercedes team, allowing him to build on a couple of previous outings with the Brackley squad.“On the two other occasions I have driven this car, I was limited – in KL by the kerbs of the city streets and the closeness of the spectators and, last time, by the need for consistent running focusing on filming,” he noted.“Today, it was different again.
