RoC cancelled due to unrest

The Race of Champions, which was scheduled to take place in Thailand later this month, has been cancelled due to safety concerns. In recent days the unrest in Thailand has been mounting with protestors wanting to overthrow the prime minister. Violent clashes on the streets have led to the Race of Champions' organisers opting to cancel this year's event. "The Sports Authority of Thailand and the organisers of the 2013 Race Of Champions have announced that the event cannot take place as planned on December 14-15 due to the current political situation in Bangkok," read a statement.
