Pirelli to conduct pre-Christmas Bahrain test

Pirelli looks set to conduct a three-day test at the Bahrain International Circuit later this month.According to reports in the Italian media the test will run from December 17-19, with Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes getting to sample the 2014 prototype tyres. Lotus were also invited but declined on the grounds of costs, it is alleged.Teams were given the opportunity to run with the 2014 prototype tyres in practice in Brazil last month, scene of the final round in the 2013 F1 World Championship, however, rain meant both Friday sessions at Interlagos were a bit of a wash-out.Pirelli has still to announce the full details of the test and it is not yet known if the FIA, the sports' governing...
