Gené: I’d bet on Ferrari for 2014
– Ferrari test driver Marc Gené has said he is confident the Scuderia will be able to mount more of a challenge next season and give Red Bull a run for its money. The Maranello-based outfit slipped from second to third in the Constructors’ Championship this season, and while Fernando Alonso was again second in the Drivers’ Championship, he was a long way behind Sebastian Vettel and won only two races. Speaking to Spanish newspaper, AS, Gené said that while Red Bull may go into 2014 as favourites, the new rules should help the rest catch up. “Yes, I would bet my money on Ferrari [for 2014],” Gené said. “It will be a nice year and one in which I hope we can bring about all...
