Sauber: Strong end to season won't impact 2014

The Sauber F1 Team does not believe that its strong second half of the 2013 season will have a negative impact on their preparations for 2014. The Swiss team scored just seven points in the first 11 races. However, their season transformed in the second half of the year to score 50 points in the remaining races, including their first double-points finish of the year in Japan, to finish seventh in the constructors' standings. Head of trackside engineering Tom McCullough, who is rumoured to be leaving the team for 2014, said the improvement in performance didn't hinder their preparations for next year.
