Race of Champions called off

This month's Race of Champions event in Bangkok has been called off because of political upheaval in Thailand's capital.Formula 1 World Champions Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher had been among the drivers due to participate in the event, which would have taken place on December 14-15 at the Rajamangala Stadium. Tens of thousands of protesters have flooded on to Bangkok's streets in protests aimed at overthrowing the government of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. The Rajamangala stadium, in a Bangkok suburb, has been used for regular rallies by supporters of the prime minister.
