Mercedes ready to beat Red Bull in 2014 - Rosberg

Getty Images Enlarge Nico Rosberg believes Mercedes' improvement this year is proof it has the potential to beat Red Bull next season. After a dismal end to its 2012 campaign, Mercedes bounced back this year with three victories and second place in the constructors' championship. It was still 236 points shy of Red Bull at the end of the year, but Rosberg believes the improvement on last season is confirmation the team can take the fight to Red Bull in 2014. "We've made massive progress and really everybody believes that this team can do it and beat Red Bull," he said. "We've shown we have such competence now and such a great car after making a massive step over the winter....
