McLaren, Force India withdraw from test

McLaren and Force India have both elected to withdraw from next week's F1 tyre test in Bahrain, despite being initially named amongst those outfits that would be making the trip to the Sakhir circuit.The FIA revealed earlier this week that a three-day Pirelli tyre test had been given the green light, running from 17-19 December and with Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Force India and Toro Rosso all taking part.Both McLaren and Force India have now elected to withdraw from the test, with McLaren insisting that its focus was firmly on development ahead of the 2014 season.“We're not testing in Bahrain next week,” a spokesperson said. “We took part in a Pirelli tyre test in Italy...
