Pole position trophy to be introduced

– The FIA will hand out a trophy to the driver who records the most pole positions during the 2014 season. The move was clarified in the latest set of Sporting Regulations as Formula 1 gears up for its largest technical overhaul in recent years, spearheaded by the introduction of turbocharged 1.6-litre V6 engines. In the event of a tie, the trophy will be handed to the driver with the most number of second places. And should this fail to produce a winner, "the FIA will nominate the winner according to such criteria as it thinks fit."
