Van der Garde marries billionaire's daughter 17 December, 2013 Giedo van der Garde with Denise Boekhooren in 2004 Giedo van der Garde has celebrated the last few days before Christmas by getting married to his long-time girlfriend Denise Boekhoorn.
The Caterham driver, whose future on the 2014 grid is yet to be confirmed, tied the knot in Zwolle, the Netherlands, according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
Denise is the daughter of Dutch businessman Marcel Boekhoorn, who financially backs 28-year-old van der Garde's career. Boekhoorn's estimated current net worth stands at 1.3 billion making him one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in the Netherlands.
