Dennis would not block Alonso return

McLaren chairman Ron Dennis insists "you never say never" when it comes to the possibility of Fernando Alonso returning to the team. The double World Champion spent one season with the outfit in 2007, but it ended acrimoniously after he fell out with Dennis and he returned to Renault the following year. However, reports over the past few months have linked Alonso with a move back to the squad. McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh initially tried to lure him to Woking for the 2014 campaign after it appeared he was unhappy at Ferrari.
