Vergne: Snub made me stronger

Jean-Eric Vergne has spoken of the "big disappointment" he went through in losing out to Daniel Ricciardo for a 2014 Red Bull seat, but believes he has emerged from the experience a better driver. The young Toro Rosso pair along with Kimi Raikkonen were publicly named by Red Bull team boss Christian Horner as the three men in the running to race alongside Sebastian Vettel at the World Champions next season after Mark Webber announced his plans to retire.
