Perez feared for F1 future
Sergio Perez has admitted that he feared for his future in Formula 1 after being dropped by McLaren at the end of the 2013 season.
The Mexican driver announced his departure from the team just prior to his ‘home' race at the United States Grand Prix in Texas. He will be replaced at the Woking-based outfit by Danish rookie Kevin Magnussen.
However, his short-term future in the sport was confirmed last week after he signed a 'multi-year' deal with Force India. Had he not secured the drive alongside Nico Hulkenberg, he says he would have been forced out of F1.
