Mallya hopes di Resta stays in Formula 1

– Force India team boss Vijay Mallya hopes that Paul di Resta will be able to remain in Formula 1 next season. The Scot, who joined the Silverstone-based outfit in 2010 before stepping up to a race seat the following term, has been dropped along with Adrian Sutil to make way for Nico Hülkenberg and McLaren reject Sergio Pérez. With Sutil securing a drive at Sauber, there are now just four places up for grabs as the New Year approaches, but Mallya reckons di Resta deserves to claim one of them and extend his stay in the top echelon.
